This “Bee Box” set is made of polystyrene. It includes :

Be careful, you must apply a primer and paint on the polystyrene. Otherwise, the sun could eventually disintegrate the material.
This is the famous BeeBox EPS from Finland. This lightweight hive is the result of 35 years of beekeeping experience from Scandinavia's largest honey producer, Paradise Honey ltd.
The design is based on long experience in beekeeping and technical knowledge of appropriate materials to obtain a good quality hive capable of being effective in extreme climates.
The BeeBox EPS hive material has been field tested for around 30 years in Finnish winter, as cold as -35 C and with heat above +30 C in summer.
The material that makes up the BeeBox hive system is extra-hardened food grade expanded polystyrene (EPS) with a density above 100 kg/m3. Boxes will last for decades with proper use and care. BeeBox hives are manufactured with ISO 9001 certified processes and materials.
