Hive Kit Polystyrene - Plastic Found.
This "Bee Box" set is made entirely of polystyrene. It includes:
- 1 roof (PH-9100)
- 1 Topclair attic space (PH-9101)
- 1 brown plastic queen excluder (QE-PH01)
- 1 wire mesh tray with drawer & entry reducer (PH-9000)
- 2 size increases 9 5/8″ (PH-9200)
- 20 wooden frames – yellow waxed plastic base (WH-1302)
Important: a primer must be applied. And Paint on polystyrene. Otherwise, the sun could eventually degrade the material.

Description
This is the famous BeeBox EPS from Finland. This lightweight beehive is the result of 35 years of beekeeping experience from Scandinavia's largest honey producer., Paradise Honey Ltd.
Its design is based on long experience in beekeeping and on technical knowledge of appropriate materials to obtain a good quality hive capable of being effective in extreme climates.
The material of the BeeBox EPS beehive has been field-tested for approximately 30 years in Finnish winters, as cold as -35°C and with temperatures exceeding +30°C in summer.
The BeeBox beehive system is made of extra-hardened, food-grade expanded polystyrene (EPS) with a density exceeding 100 kg/m³. With proper use and maintenance, the boxes will last for decades. BeeBox beehives are manufactured using ISO 9001 certified processes and materials.
