Specific use case: Given the size of Canadian frames, the interior space is a bit too narrow to hang them widthwise as shown in the photo. This tray is designed for European-sized frames. However, the crossbar allows you to place the frames in the opposite orientation to hold them in place before putting them in the extractor.
