Description
Manual uncapping machine with thermostatically controlled heated stainless steel discs, Langstroth format.
Manual uncapping machine with thermostatically controlled heated stainless steel discs. The uncapping process of the Alpha Disc relies primarily on its two banks of heated stainless steel discs, based on technologies developed and patented by Thomas Apiculture.
The two banks of thermostatically controlled heating discs will simultaneously incise the cells on both sides of the frame, which will allow uncapping, even in hollows, without generating cappings.
Operating principle:
Manual frame drive via crank and effortless thanks to a set of sprockets.
Horizontal bars guide the frame between 2 banks of heating discs.
The uncapping depth is adjustable.
The two sets of discs work between the two frame uprights. The variable spacing allows for uncapping the frames in hollow sections.
Once uncapped, the frames are guided onto a waiting conveyor in preparation for being loaded into an extractor.
The honey dripping from the uncapped frames is collected, under the conveyor, by a stainless steel flap and is evacuated into the hopper where the cappings fall.
The cappings and dripping honey can be collected in a tray or barrel to be positioned under the frame of the uncapping machine.
The manual frame drive device allows the uncapping speed to be adapted to the viscosity of the honey and the consistency of the wax.
