Varroxsan - Pack of 20
Oxalic acid strips represent a modern and progressive approach to varroa mite control. Made from cardboard soaked in a mixture of oxalic acid and glycerin, they allow for a slow and continuous diffusion treatment directly in the colony.
Description
By moving along the strips, the bees naturally participate in the distribution of the active ingredient, ensuring a prolonged action over several weeks.
Unlike one-off treatments, these strips act over a period of 6 to 8 weeks, covering several brood cycles. The varroa mite is exposed as it emerges, allowing for more consistent control of the infestation.
Functioning :
Fiberboard strips are suspended above the hives, and each strip is designed to fit a deep frame. However, they can also be used on medium-sized super frames.
- Treatment period: 42 to 56 days (3 open brood cycles)
